36 year old Sara A. Edwards of Ramsey was arrested on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine.

29 year old Robert D. Neal Jr of Pana was arrested on Friday for a Christian County Warrant for Arson.

24 year old Lauren N. Bobarsky of Bloomington was involved in a single vehicle accident on Tuesday at 892 Illinois Route 48. No injuries were reported.

30 year old Charles M. Carron of Taylorville was involved in a single vehicle accident on Thursday at 1850 E 2850 North Road. Minor injuries were reported.

37 year old Natalie K. Trelz of Assumption was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday at 700 North 2500 East Road and transported to a local hospital.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on June 5th at the 700 Block of West Market Street. Curtis D. Ryen of Taylorville was pulling a trailer westbound. Ryen told police the trailer coupling broke, causing the trailer to separate from the tow vehicle. The safety chains also broke and the trailer struck a tree.  No damage was reported to the tow vehicle, but the trailer sustaind front end damage.  No injuries were reported.

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident from the afternoon of June 5th. Joshua L. Jones of Taylorville was traveling southeast on Illinois Route 29 attempting to turn left on Pershing Avenue. Louis P. Depaepe of Taylorville was headed northwest on Illinois Route 29. Jones stated he made a left hand turn in front of Depaepe and didn’t see him. Depaepe stated that Jones turned left in front of him and he was unable to avoid the collision. Depaepe also told police an unknown silver vehicle had turned in front of him as well he was in the process of slowing down when Jones followed the unknown silver vehicle and the collision occurred. Depaepe struck Jones in the passenger side door area and pushed him into a nearby guard rail. A juvenile passenger was transported to St. John’s Hospital for medical treatment. Both drivers refused treatment.

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of June 24th. 31-year-old Katherine E. Brown of Taylorville was backing eastbound from a parking space in the Park Glen Apartments parking lot at 630 N. Webster Street in Taylorville. 90-year-old Helen L. Barlow of Taylorville was traveling southbound in the same parking lot. Brown stated she did not see Barlow traveling behind her and both vehicles collided. Neither driver reported injuries, but Barlow’s vehicle was heavily damaged.

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on Tuesday evening. 41-year-old Michael T. Decaro of Springfield was traveling eastbound on West Park Street when the vehicle left the roadway to the right striking a business sign with its front end. Witnesses on the scene report that the driver and passenger appeared to be completely unconscious at the time of the crash. When officers arrived on the scene they located several cans of aerosol keyboard cleaner behind the driver’s seat along with a bottle of Smirnoff liquor under the passenger seat. Both Decaro and the passenger were transported to TMH. Decaro was issued citations for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

In vehicle accidents the Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident involving 59 year old Valerie L. Vicker of Morrisonville who struck a deer on Tuesday at 350 N 1250 East Road. No injuries were reported.  

56 year old Donald W. Goodwin of Wheatland struck a deer on Wednesday at 794 Illinois Route 104. No injuries were reported.

A juvenile from Morrisonville was involved in a vehicle accident on July 29th at 470 E 600 North. No injuries were reported.

54 year old Shelly M. Bryson of Herrick was involved in a single vehicle accident on July 30th at 450 Illinois Route 29. No injuries were reported.

41 year old Christopher M. Norris was arrested on Thursday for possession of methamphetamine under 5 grams.

A juvenile from Kincaid was involved in a vehicle accident Thursday morning. TPD dispatched an officer to Illinois Route 104 down from Big R. The juvenile said she was driving east on Illinois Route 104 when she lost control of her vehicle and hydroplaned off the roadway. It appeared as if the vehicle skidded off the raodway spinning in the opposite direction striking a tree then spinning back around facing the direction it had originally been traveling. No injuries were reported.

45 year old Erik M. Ray of Herrick was issued a notice to appear on July 15th for disorderly conduct.

36 year old BettyAnn M. Conner of Mode was issued a citation on July 20th for driving while license suspended.

29 year old Harley J.L. Cravens of Tower Hill was issued a notice to appear on July 21st for assault.

27 year old Scottie L. Bone of Watson was arrested on July 21st for speeding, driving while license revoked, aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. 

25 year old Danielle R. Snow of Lakewood was issued a citation on July 23rd for driving while license suspended and improper lane usage after a traffic accident.

32 year old Jackie T. Matherly of Ramsey was issued a citation on July 23rd for driving too fast for conditions and operating an insured motor vehicle after he lost control of the vehicle. He was transported to Pana hospital for treatment.
