39 year old Joshua Emmerling of Taylorville was arrested on March 25th for retail theft.
44 year old Lester G. Ward of Taylorville was arrested on a Christian County Warrant and obstructing/resisting a peace officer.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;
44 year old Leon L. Combs of Venise was arrested on February 20th for driving while license revoked after a traffic stop at IL-RT 51 and 000 North. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing and posted bond.
28 year old Ayesha M. Deberry of Decatur was arrested on March 2nd for speeding 35 mph over the speed limit after a traffic stop on Route 128 at 1525N. She was transported to the detention center for processing and posted bond.
21 year old Jesse R. Austin of Herrick was arrested on March 25th for theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle after a report from the Christ Tabernacle Church. He was transported to the Detention Center for processing.

18 year old Seth Barnes from Blue Mound and 28 year old Jeremy P. Overby of Assumption were involved in an accident on Sunday at Walnut and Leafland in Assumption. No injuries were reported.

21 year old Feylin M. Kious of Millersville was arrested on Wednesday for driving while license suspended.
The TPD responded to a vehicle accident on Monday morning. 90 year old Mary J. Behrends of Kincaid was pulling into CVS and saw a tow truck where she usually parks. She then proceeded to a different parking spot and hit the accelerator instead of the brake striking a vehicle owned by John Slown of Taylorville. She then struck a yellow pole and a RedBox machine. No injuries were reported.
The TPD responded to a vehicle crash on the evening of April 6th. 24 year old Alex M. Minix of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on West Adams Street when the vehicle swerved past the oncoming lane of traffic, striking the front hitch of a parked vehicle. Witnesses on the scene advised officers that the driver of Unit 1 was Minix. Officers were on the scene when the van drove by the scene north bound on Simpson Street. A traffic stop was initiated and officers placed Minix under arrest for driving under the influence. The vehicle was towed and no injuries were reported.
The TPD responded to a vehicle crash on April 8th. A minor was traveling south in the area of 1083 E 1000 North Road when the vehicle was traveling too fast and left the roadway on the curve striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

68 year old Stephen G. Dicken of Bethany was driving a 2015 Chevy 2500 and had a single vehicle accident on US Highway 51 around 1400 North Road. Dicken was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
37 year old Travis L. Christian of Edinburg was driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado and struck a deer in the area of 750 E 400 North Road. No injuries were reported.
48 year old Barbara A. Adler of Pana was arrested on Tuesday for DUI by Christian County. She was released on a notice to appear.
