The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;
1/8/25 at 7:51 a.m.
Macy Kapper, 22, of Oreana was traveling North near 1140 US Highway 51, in the right hand lane and crossed over the fog line to the right and onto the rumble strip. The driver then over corrected causing loss of control of the vehicle. The vehicle then skidded across the northbound lanes and into the grass median causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle continued to overturn across the southbound lanes eventually coming to a rest on a ditch embankment to the West of the southbound lanes. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Area 51 Towing.
1/10/25 at 7:30 a.m.
David Loxterman, 33, of Galloway, OH (Unit 1) and Breeanna Dodd, 26, of Edinburg (Unit 2)
Unit 2 was traveling Northwest on Wildcat Way and Unit 1 was traveling West on Franklin St. at the stop sign with Wildcat Way. Unit 1 failed to stop at the stop sign due to ice and snow packed on the roadway. Unit 1 slid into Unit 2 in the intersection.

Izabella Adcock, 17, of Moweaqua was traveling East on 1900 North RD when the vehicle skidded out of control due to iced road conditions. The vehicle then went off the right side of the roadway and collided with a fence at the location of 2458 East.
1/11/25 at 10:56 a.m.
Eric Reed, 36, of Assumption was traveling Westbound on County Highway 6 at approximately ¼ mile West of Township RD 2500 E. The driver lost control on the snow/slush covered roadway. The vehicle proceeded across the Eastbound land and struck the snow packed south ditch; the vehicle overturned and came to a rest on the driver’s side facing East. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Curtis Auto Service.
1/11/25 at 7:03 p.m.
Christopher Choate, 30, of Nokomis was traveling South on County Highway 1 when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle made contact with the deer with the rear passenger side bumper.
1/13/25 at 1:04 a.m.
Leandra Jophlin, 23, of Pana was traveling Southbound in IL RTE 29 a deer came out from the Eastside of the road and struck the deer causing minor damage.

Kaleb N. Chiles, age 24, of Alborn Minnesota, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked.

Brittney L. Melvin, age 33, of Pana Illinois, was arrested for Retail Theft.
A vehicle parked unoccupied at the Veterans Memorial at Lake Taylorville was struck by an unknown vehicle on January 8th at 6:40 PM. It is unknown who hit the vehicle and it is being treated as a hit and run.
