Camren White, 18, of Stonington was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Consumption of Liquor By A Minor.

Tyler Engelhart, 29, was arrested by the Pana Police Department for Illegal Possession Of A Weapon By A Felon, Possession Of Methamphetamine, Theft, and Possession Of Burglary Tools.
Crashes
11/23/24 at 6:29 p.m.
Unit 1 (Brody Will, 19, of Teutopolis); Unit 2 (Sarah Lindsay, 46, of Pana); and Unit 3 (Michael McBride, 64, of Shelbyville)
Unit 1 was traveling Eastbound behind Unit 2 on IL RTE 16. Unit 2 slowed down to turn North onto 2700 E. Unit 1 crossed the center line, splitting the lanes and struck Unit 2. At the same time, Unit 3 was traveling Westbound. When Unit 1 split lanes, and struck Unit 2, Unit 1 also struck Unit 3 in the oncoming traffic lane. Unit 3 was spun around from the impact. When arriving on scene, Unit 3 was facing East. There were brake marks straddling the center line showing that the lanes were split and the driver of Unit 1 stated that he thinks he fell asleep. The driver of Unit 2 was transported by Abbot Ambulance to Pana Community Hospital and all 3 vehicles were towed from the scene with disabling damage by Morrell Auto Service.

Shauntay Conrad, 52, of Taylorville was traveling Southeast on Il RT 29 when she hit a deer that entered the road. The vehicle had damage to the passenger side front bumper and was towed from the scene by Taylorville Towing.

Camren White, 18, of Stonington was traveling West on 1000 North RD too fast and failed to maintain his lane while attempting to turn. the vehicle struck an utility pole on the Westside of the road and came to a stop. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Kertow’s Towing.
11/28/24 at 9:29 p.m.
Braden Rice, 24, of Tower Hill was traveling South on Bayadier Drive when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree. The vehicle sustained major front end damage and was towed from the scene by Curtis Auto Service.
11/29/24 at 2:00 p.m.
Donald Becker, 43, of Mechanicsburg was traveling West near 1690 E 2500 North RD when he stated he had fallen asleep and ran off the road. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck an utility pole in the South ditch.
11/30/24 at 11:50 a.m.
James Hupp, 69, of Springfield was traveling Southwest on IL RT 48 (400 block of North Main St in Stonington) when the vehicle veered off the left side of the roadway and crashed into a street light. No damage was done to the street light and the vehicle was towed by Taylorville Towing and the driver was transported to St. John’s Hospital by ambulance.

Emma Foote, 17, of Edinburg was traveling Southwest on IL RT 29 at about 1900 North. The vehicle lost control on the ice covered bridge surface and traveled off the West shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle went sideways into the grass ditch and won the embankment causing the vehicle to roll over several times. the vehicle continued up the backside of the embankment and came to rest on the wheels. The vehicle was towed by Kertow’s Towing and the driver was transported to the hospital by Dunn’s Ambulance.

Colton Beesley, 20, of Taylorville was traveling East on IL RT 104 and approached the approximate location of 765 East and skidded out of control due to the weather related road conditions.

Candy Gorden, 69, of Moweaqua was traveling South on 2525 East RD when she hit a deer. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Area 51 Towing & Recovery.
