Area Arrests/Accidents 6/27/16

On Monday the Christian County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

26 year old Derek R. Samson of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for criminal damage to property. Bond was set at $2000.

 

30 year old Cody M. Pugsley of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for retail theft and violating an order of protection.

 

28 year old Tim R. Kocurek of Kincaid was arrested on Friday on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $200.

 

38 year old Michael R. Eakle of Pana was arrested on Saturday on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant.

 

29 year old Josh P. Greer of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

 

19 year old Shiloh K. Thomas of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for domestic battery.

 

30 year old Wade M. Bottoms of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for failure to register as a sex offender, as well as on a bond forfeiture warrant for an issuance of warrant. Bond was set at $3000.



 

On Monday the Taylorville Police Department reported the following arrests to Regional Radio News.

 

34 year old Justin R. Sherman of Taylorville was arrested on Saturday for public intoxication.

 

24 year old Schara Eller of Nokomis was arrested on Saturday for use of an intoxicating prohibited compound.

 

29 year old Matthew C. Hagan of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for criminal damage to property.

 

18 year old Jesse R Austin of Pana, 19 year old Michael S. Harshani of Taylorville, as well as a 17 year old juvenile were arrested on Saturday for theft from a motor vehicle.

 

20 year old Sierra Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Sunday for retail theft.






 

ACCIDENTS:

 

On 6/25/16 25 year old Joseph A. Johnson of Auburn was northbound on Highway Rt. 29. At approximately 585 north Johnson’s 2015 Dodge 4 Door blew the right rear tire causing the vehicle to enter the east ditch and received rear quarter damage.

 

On June 25th, 22 year old Jessica A. Hatch of Edinburg was traveling east bound. Hatch ran off the roadway to the right in an attempt to not hit raccoons. Hatch lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to travel into the ditch on the south side of the road. Hatch’s vehicle then rolled after colliding with the ditch embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing west. Hatch had two passengers, who were both treated on scene by EMS and refused further treatment.

 

On 6/25/16 21 year old Erika K. Painter of Nokomis was traveling southbound on County Highway 1 and was approaching County Highway 12. At approximately 250 feet north of County Highway 12, the Painter stated that a deer entered the roadway and struck her vehicle. There was damage to the drivers side front lights, front panel, and driver’s side door. No injuries were reported.

 

On June 23rd, 20 year old Deiona A. Andrews of Kincaid was northbound on County Highway 11 just north of 1800 North Road. Andrews stated that she was trying to get her purse for a cigarette when she ran off the right side of the roadway. Andrews traveled about 108 feet on the right shoulder in the rocks before sliding down into the grass in the right ditch. Andrews then traveled approximately 123 feet in the ditch before striking the first utility pole north of pole 40. Andrew’s vehicle hit the pole on the drivers side just in front of the drivers door. Andrews was taken to St. John’s Hospital via Medics First Ambulance to be treated for injuries.

 

On 6/12/16 27 year old James M. Katcher of Taylorville was traveling west on 1800 N Road. Katcher lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to travel into the ditch on the right side of the road. Katcher traveled out of the ditch and came to a stop on the roadway facing west. Katcher’s vehicle had front end and undercarriage damage.


On 6/20/16 60 year old David A Reed of Edinburg was traveling south on 625 East Road at about 2135 North. A deer entered the roadway from the west and Reed hit the deer.
